PINSON – Four Pinson men have been arrested after a year-long narcotics investigation. One Pinson native remains wanted on charges of two counts of Unlawful Distribution of Heroin.
The investigation, which was dubbed “Operation Active Diligence”, targeted dealers in the Dixiana community. Dixiana sits north of Pinson. Six arrests have been made as a result of the investigation.
Fredrick Dowdell, 49, and 31-year-old Jesse Rolando Newsome, both from Birmingham, have joined the four Pinson natives in handcuffs. Dowdell remains in the Jefferson County Jail facing a 8,500 bond. Newsome has already posted a ,000 bond and has been released.
As a total, the six arrested men face 42 charges ranging from Trafficking Heroin to Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.
The four Pinson men include: 40-year-old Christopher Ray Stubbs, 45-year-old Ray Moss Jr., 40-year-old Cortney DeJuan Payne and 50-year-old Lyndon Fitzgerald Brown. All four have been released on bond.
Pinson native Fredice DeWayne Joseph, 32, remains on the loose.
Stubbs has been charged with Unlawful Distribution of Controlled Heroin. Moss faces two counts of Unlawful Distribution of Heroin. Payne was charged with Unlawful Distribution of Cocaine, Unlawful Distribution of Heroin and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
Brown carries the heaviest list of charges: five counts of Unlawful Distribution of Cocaine, five counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
