BIRMINGHAM – A man has been arrested on Capital Murder charges for the death of a three-year-old boy.
Cornelius Warren, the defendant, has been taken into custody following an incident that took place on Sunday. Police responded that day to an assault call that took them to 810 44th Place North, Apt. B in Birmingham.
Upon arrival, officers witnessed the juvenile being treated by Birmingham Fire and Rescue workers. The unnamed child was then transported to Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The Birmingham Police Department’s preliminary investigation found enough evidence to secure an arrest warrant for Warren, who is currently being held without bond.
