HOOVER – The Southeastern Conference will hold its SEC Football Media Days, Kickoff ’16, July 11-14, next Monday through Thursday, at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham-Wynfrey Hotel.
Head coaches and players from each school will be in attendance to speak to the some 1,200 media members from across the region and nation. ESPN and the SEC Network will also televise the events.
The schedule by day for the event:
Monday: Auburn, Florida, Vanderbilt, SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey.
Tuesday: Georgia, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Texas A&M.
Wednesday: Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky , Missouri.
Thursday: LSU, Ole Miss, South Carolina.
The media will select its preseason All-SEC teams and predict the order of finish in each division as well as the overall champion. Only five times since 1992 have the media predicted the team that won the championship, the last being Alabama in 2014.
Thanks to Alabama, the SEC won its eighth national championship in 10 years. The league went 9-2 in bowl games to become the first league in history to win nine postseason games.
