Jonathan David Burns was a fun loving, caring, generous soul who was always creating something for someone else that he could give away. He was a nature lover, who loved hunting, Alabama football, painting, drawing, sculpting and music. He wore red and the Big A almost daily.
He graduated in 2009 as a chemical engineer from the University of Alabama. His best friend was his mini Golden Doodle, Benny.
His older brother, Justen, was his hero. His younger sister, Jen, was his friend and life coach.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, James Larkin Newman. He is survived by his devoted parents, Jimmy and Linda Burns; his brother, Justen (Fabiola), niece, Isabella; his sister, Jennifer Averette (Michael), niece, Maddie, nephew, Axel; his grandmother, Jackie Newman; his grandparents, Bill and Ann Burns.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 19th at First Baptist Church of Trussville, at 10 a.m. A Memorial Service followed at noon. Following the service, there was a graveside service for family at Memory Hill Gardens Cemetery, 2200 Skyland Blvd. East in Tuscaloosa, AL 35405.
