From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TUSCALOOSA –Pinson Valley hit the ground running at the North Central Regional in Tuscaloosa with a dominating 16-4 win over Homewood.
The Indians drew first blood on a Hope Cole RBI single to go up 1-0 in the first inning. A five run second inning would be more than enough to win the game, but ladies of Pinson Valley piled on 10 more runs before the game was over for good measure.
Cole, and Maddie Pliscofsky and Shauna Clevenger collected three hits each, while Charlotte Phillips and Ka’Mya Hampton added two apiece.
Clevenger was Homewood’s worst nightmare at the plate going 3 for 5 with three runs scored and 5 FBI.
The Indians will face John Carroll Catholic at 4:30 p.m.
