BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Justice League has announced plans for a protest Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the Hoover Library in response to Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall’s announcement that the shooting death of Emantic “EJ” Bradford by a Hoover police officer was justifiable.
Following the protest, the group will hold a candlelight vigil at 8 p.m., commemorating the birthday of Trayvon Martin.
BJL also announced a protest to be held in Montgomery on Wednesday at 11:45 a.m. at Marshall’s office.
Wednesday night at 7 p.m., the group will meet at the Muhammad Mosque on Tuscaloosa Avenue to “lay out a schedule of protests and acts of civil disobedience in response to an unjust justice system in the State of Alabama.”
