BIRMINGHAM — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified a woman killed in a wreck on June 5, 2019.
Jessica Denene Lockett, 28, of Jasper, was killed when the Nissan Altima she was in was hit by a Nissan Pathfinder.
Jefferson County Coroner Bill Yates said the Altima was passing through the intersection of Arkadelphia Road and Finley Boulevard when the Pathfinder came through the four-way and hit the Altima on the passenger-side door. Yates said the driver of the Pathfinder did not have the right-of-way. The Pathfinder then flipped and hit a third car.
Lockett was pronounced dead on the scene at 10:18 p.m.
A second occupant of the Altima was seriously injured. He was taken to UAB where he is still undergoing treatment.
