From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Police Department identified two men arrested after a stolen vehicle was located in Trussville. Detectives said the case is connected to another stolen vehicle found within city limits.
Johnny Harris and Robert Pulley will be held on $70,000 bonds each, at the Jefferson County Jail, upon transfer from Trussville.
Harris is charged with receiving stolen property first degree, illegal possession of a credit card and possession of a forged instrument.
Pulley is charged with two counts of receiving stolen property and with a violation of the sex offender registration act and notification act.
Harris and Pulley were arrested in the Home Depot parking lot on Tuesday, July 23. Detective Ben Short said they were in a red Jeep that was reported stolen out of Lincoln. When officers approached the vehicle, around 2:30 p.m., one of the men took off on foot. Short said one of the officers apprehended the man before he got out of the parking lot. Short said that man, Harris, was carrying 48 fake $100 bills.
Pulley was the other man arrested. He is facing two charges of receiving stolen property, after he was tied to another vehicle found stolen in Trussville.
Police said he was spotted in a stolen Ford F-150 truck caught on camera at Walmart. A woman seen driving the truck has been identified as Cara Rae Ingram. She turned herself in to authorities on Friday, July 26.
