Clay-Chalkville senior running back Kenterrius Gray has faxed his signed papers to Delta State University, he confirmed.
Gray was offered by Delta State on Monday and committed the same day.
“It (the offer) blew my mind,” Gray said. “I was excited.”
Gray rushed 38 times for 236 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior. He also caught five passes for 71 yards and a touchdown.
Delta State is located in Cleveland, Miss., and recorded a 3-7 record last season in the Gulf South Conference. A new coaching staff is in place at Delta State, and Clay-Chalkville head coach Jerry Hood said Gray will fit in as a fullback
. He expects him to start as a freshman.
“They expect him to come right in and play pretty quickly,” Hood said. “That one just thrills me to death.”
