Hewitt linebacker commits to Faulkner

TRUSSVILLE — A Hewitt-Trussville senior linebacker made his college commitment Monday.

Hunter Reid tweeted that he had committed to Faulkner University in Montgomery.

“Proud to be committed to play football at Faulkner University. #GoEagles,” Reid tweeted.

As a senior last season, Reid notched 101 tackles, good for third on the Hewitt-Trussville defense. He totaled a second-best 14 tackles for loss. He had one sack, one pass breakup, one forced fumble and a blocked kick.
