TRUSSVILLE — Paine Elementary has set their 2015-16 goal for the annual box tops fundraiser to $10,000. Last year, the school raised more than $8,000 through the coupon fundraiser.
There is no requirement to be associated with the school to help. Anyone who buys groceries can help by simply clipping off the box top coupon from a number of items routinely bought at grocery stores and turn them into the school. Each coupon is worth 10 cents. The school asks that the coupons be trimmed to help shipping costs.
There are contests being held for those with children in the school, and winning classes earn pizza parties. The first contest ended on Wednesday, Oct. 14, and the final contest deadline will be Feb. 10, 2016. Paine Elementary is currently 1st in the state and 7th nationally for Box Tops submissions this year.
Mary Beasley is the box top coordinator for Paine Elementary, she can be contacted with any questions at boxtops@painepto.org.
