TRUSSVILLE – The Hewitt-Trussville Huskies split the playoff series with Hoover to force a third game.
Hewitt dropped the first game 2-1 and bounced back to beat the Bucs 12-2 in the nightcap.
Steele Hall went three of five with five RBIs and one home run. Drew Ollis and Rob Wright had two hits.
Hewitt blew the game open with six runs in the second inning to take a 6-1 lead.
Christian Helmers gave up two runs on three hits and recorded two strikeouts.
The Huskies face Hoover at 1:00 PM Saturday.
