CULLMAN COUNTY –According to the Alabama State Troopers office, single-vehicle crash on Sunday has claimed the life of an 18-year-old.
Quitman Carvine Clarke, of Mobile, was killed when the 2009 Honda Accord he was driving left the roadway and struck a utility pole before finally striking a tree. Clarke, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other teenage passengers in the car with Clarke, who were also not using seat belts, were transported to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The crash occurred at 4:45 a.m. on Interstate 65 at the 308 mile marker, less than a mile south of Cullman. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.

So, so sad. Prayers for the family. Could probably have been prevented if only he had worn his seatbelt. It really upsets me when this happens. And it’s too often that people will not wear their seat belts.
