PINSON – Hoyt Sanders has been reelected as mayor of Pinson.
Hoyt Sanders was already out on the road picking up his campaign signs when reached by a reporter around 9 p.m. Tuesday night.
“We like to get everything picked up and keep things neat and clean,” Sanders said, who has been mayor of Pinson since it became a city.
“It’s a great feeling to realize the majority of the community is behind you and recognizes and appreciates you and the accomplishments over the past 12 years,” he said.
Sanders said the next order of business is the Rock School renovation.
“That’s the big thing, our next big project,” Sanders said.
Sanders ran against Joe Cochran, who has served on the Pinson City Council also since Pinson’s inception.
