County worker killed while clearing tree from road indentified

HUEYTOWN — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified a county worker killed while clearing a tree from the roadway early Sunday, April 14.

David Wade Reynolds, 54, of Adger, was killed when a car hit him on 15th Street in Hueytown. It happened around 2:15 a.m. near Streeter Drive and Webster Road.

The worker was taken to UAB Medical West where he died.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with deputies. The accident is under investigation.
