Authorities said they are following some promising leads in arresting the person responsible for the masked robberies and shooting that occurred Oct. 20 at two different locations on Old Springville Road.
Sergeant Jack Self with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s department told The Tribune today that the shooting victim is in stable condition.
Jefferson County Chief Deputy Randy Christian said that investigations are still ongoing, but authorities believe there may be a connection among the Winn-Dixie robbery, the Roger’s robbery and the Tyner’s Pharmacy robbery that also occurred
.
“We think there is a good possibility that all of these crimes were committed by the same suspect,” Christian said. “When the pharmacy was robbed, I said I hoped we could find him before he hurt someone or got himself killed. We are following some promising leads and do expect to make an arrest. Our detectives have worked on this nonstop since the time this mini-crime spree took place.”
The person in question wore a devil mask during the crimes.
