The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Jefferson County for Tuesday as rains continue, some possible heavy. The county remains under a Flash Flood Watch until noon on Wednesday.
The alert says heavy rainfall associated with continued showers and storms could produce additional flash flooding. The area of concern is south of a line from Reform to Birmingham to Jacksonville. The system passing through could produce up to two inches of rain in some areas.
Today: A slight chance of showers early, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after noon. High near 54. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
Tonight: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before midnight, then showers likely. Low around 46. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 56
. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 35. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light west after midnight.
