This year’s Pinson CityFest will be Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event will be on the field behind Solid Rock Church in Pinson.
Admission, rides, entertainment and birthday cake are all free. There will also be arts and crafts, and other festivities.
The event is being held to celebrate the city of Pinson’s ninth birthday. The annual event is usually held the last weekend in March, but Easter this year is March 31.
The Pinson City Council last month voted to fund the rides for CityFest
. Councilwoman Joy McCain said the ,500 to ,600 the city will donate for the rides will allow visitors to enjoy the rides for free, taking some of the financial burden off families who want to enjoy a day out without having to spend a lot of money.
