Three local teams are ranked 10th in their respective polls in the final regular season Alabama Sports Writers Association rankings, released today.
Hewitt-Trussville (26-10) is No. 10 in the final regular season Class 6A baseball poll. The Huskies host Mountain Brook on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the first round of the state baseball playoffs. A third game, if necessary, will be at 1:30 p.m
. Saturday.

Pinson Valley (26-10) is No. 10 in the final regular season Class 5A baseball poll. The Indians host Walker on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the first round of the state baseball playoffs. A third game, if necessary, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Clay-Chalkville (24-8) was not ranked in the final regular season Class 6A rankings, and will host Grissom on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. An if-necessary game will be Saturday at 1 p.m.
Hewitt-Trussville (26-8) is ranked No. 10 in the final Class 6A softball poll. The Lady Huskies wrapped up the Class 6A, Area 12 championship earlier this week. The Clay-Chalkville softball team was not ranked but won the Class 6A, Area 13 championship this week.
