Overnight rains have caused flooding that has forced the closure of Camp Coleman Road to North Lake Drive, while a downed tree has closed the bridge on Roper Road at Trussville Country Club temporarily, but Roper has now reopened.
Meanwhile, in Pinson, the Turkey Creek Nature Preserve is closed due to flooding, according to their Facebook page.
Trussville police chief Don Sivley said crews are on the way to clear the tree from Roper.
“It’s a very large tree, so they are bringing in a bucket truck to cut the top out of it,” Sivley said. “It may take a little while, but we hope to have the road open soon.”
