A Trussville native will participate in Thursday’s Just For Laughs Festival in Chicago.
Martin Morrow, a 2006 Hewitt-Trussville High School graduate, will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday at The Box Stage 773 as part of The Lincoln Lodge show.
Morrow is originally from Birmingham, where he started doing standup, improvisation and belonged to an award-winning sketch/standup hybrid named “Tubbi and Martin.”
Currently residing in Chicago, Morrow is a cast member for standup collectives such as The Lincoln Lodge and 100 Proof Comedy, and has performed in several shows with Second City as a part of their Outreach & Diversity ensemble.
He is also a Second City PUMA scholarship recipient, and has put on several one-man shows at The Playground Theater and MPaact Theater.
Morrow’s work has been featured on the Huffington Post and he was a finalist in the seventh season of the Impress These Apes comedy competition.
