Results from last month’s Alabama Sports Festival have been announced.
From Trussville, Anna Scheer participated in the 13-14 .22 rifle silhouette, three-position .22 and three-position air rifle. Lucy Guarino, also of Trussville, participated in the three-position .22 in the 13-14 age group as well. Joe Guarino participated in the 15-16 age group .22 rifle silhouette and three-position .22. The Trussville team won the shooting three-position air rifle event.
In the swimming category, Missy Gooden of Trussville won the female 100-yard backstroke, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke and 50-yard freestyle in the 40-44 age category.
Charles Bradley of Trussville won the male 100-yard breaststroke and 50-yard freestyle in the 50-54 age range. Jim Robinson, also of Trussville, won the 100-yard backstroke, 100-yard breaststroke, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard freestyle and 50-yard freestyle in the 70 and over age category.
In youth swimming, Will Bradley of Trussville placed third in the 100-yard individual medley, second in the 50-yard backstroke, third in the 50-yard breaststroke and won the 50-yard freestyle in the 11-12 age group.
Emily Bradley placed second in the 50-yard backstroke and 50-yard freestyle in the 13-14 age division. Brandt Gooden, of Trussville, won the 100-yard individual medley, placed second in the 50-yard backstroke, first in the 50-yard breaststroke and third in the 50-yard freestyle in the 13-14 age group.
In the 15-18 age group, Amanda Bradley placed second in the 100-yard freestyle, third in the 100-yard individual medley, second in the 50-yard breaststroke, third in the 50-yard butterfly and second in the 50-yard freestyle.
In the 8 and under age division, the Trussville team of Lana Fraser, Emma Crider, Priscilla Smith and Elly K. Fraser had the best time in the 100-yard freestyle relay.
Elly K. Fraser won the 100-yard individual medley, won the 25-yard backstroke, placed third in the 25-yard breaststroke, first in the 25-yard freestyle and first in the 50-yard freestyle.
In wrestling, Trussville’s Heath Williamson placed second in the cadet freestyle and Greco-Roman categories.
From Clay, Danny McCluskey participated in the .22 pistol silhouette and .22 rifle silhouette.
From Pinson, the CSSC International FC 19-and-under soccer team finished second. In wrestling, Pinson’s Davis Perry won the 152-pound cadet freestyle and 152-pound Greco-Roman titles.
