Newspapers and TV news channels daily remind us that we are living in challenging times. But do we understand the times? Do we know what to do? Are we spiritually prepared?
Noted co-founder of Precept Ministries International and four-time Gold Medallion award-winning author, Kay Arthur, will address these questions and more when she brings her dynamic style of Bible teaching to First Baptist Church Trussville Nov. 15-16.
Arthur’s topic for “A Weekend with Kay Arthur” is “Prepare for the days to come.”
“I’ve been doing and facilitating Precept Bible studies for a long time, and I’d always hoped we could host Kay at my home church one day,” said Denise Dockery, a member of First Baptist Trussville and volunteer with Precept Ministries. “I’m thrilled we finally have that opportunity, and I’m looking forward to seeing how God is going to work through this conference.”
Arthur and husband Jack founded PMI in 1970 with a vision to establish people in God’s Word. She has written more than 100 books and Bible studies and has touched thousands of lives through her writing and teaching ministry.
Arthur is also the teacher and host of Precepts for Life, a radio and television program that reaches a worldwide audience of more than 94 million people.
The Friday session of the conference begins at 7 p.m. and the Saturday session begins at 8 a.m. The doors will open one hour prior to each session.
Tickets for the event are $55 for individuals, $95 for married couples, and may be purchased at the church or online at https://kayarthur2013.eventbrite.com.
