TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Beautification Board on Saturday announced the winners of this year’s Beautification Awards.
Best Landscape Design was won by Vickie and Mack Franks, Best Turf was won by Libba and Daryl Ellison, Best Use of Color was taken by Charles Nicholas, Robert and Sandy Fondren won for Best Homeowner Maintained, Best Professionally Maintained was won by Theresa Howard and Best Business went to Ginni G Florist.
Honor Roll winners were Brian Garrett (Best Landscape Design), Dot Hagood (Best Turf), Jill Currier (Best Use of Color), Joanne and Paul West (Best Homeowner Maintained) and First Baptist Church Trussville (Best Business).
Howard also received the Time Achievement Award. Lifetime awards are given to participants that have won three years in a row in the same category.
Judges this year were Sue Peterson, Jane Alexander and Charleen Chadband. Also attending were board members Charlotte Gibson, Nora O’Connor and Nina Orr. Jimmy Norris served as the awards’ driver for the day.
