TRUSSVILLE –Authorities are searching for a Trussville woman who resides in the Longmeadow subdivision, according to police captain Jeff Bridges.
“It is believed that Pei Yen Sung went out for her daily neighborhood walk and has not returned,” Bridges said. “We don’t have a description of clothes, but she does normally wear a large floppy type hat when walking.”
Bridges described Sung as a 61-year-old Asian female. She is 5 feet tall, weighs 118 lbs and resides in Longmeadow.
Bridges said Sung’s roommate reported her missing on Friday when she arrived home and couldn’t locate her.
On Saturday morning, the St. Clair County sheriff’s office brought in tracking dogs at the request of the Trussville police department. Bridges said the dogs were used to search the entire area with no luck.
“We searched Longmeadow, the surrounding area and then some,” Bridges said. “The dogs weren’t able to pick up on anything. We just need everyone to keep their eyes open.”
Longmeadow is located on Trussville-Clay Road across from the Trussville Civic Center. The neighborhood also borders Service Road.
