BIRMINGHAM — Just before 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies were called to investigate a traffic accident in the 4700 block of Acton Road involving three vehicles.
Jackson Lindley, 58, of Falkville, was driving a Ford truck and lost control causing his vehicle to strike a Jeep in the rear before accelerating off the roadway and striking an unoccupied Chevrolet Tahoe in a parking lot. Lindley was found unconscious in the vehicle.
Paramedics transported to nearby Grandview Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The deputies’ immediate investigation found Lindley suffered an unknown medical episode causing him to lose control of his truck.
The coroner’s office will determine the cause of death.
