HOOVER – Weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation announces two double lane closures, beginning on Friday, February 19 at 8 p.m. until Sunday, February 21 at 12 a.m. at the following locations:
Interstate 459 southbound outside (right) two lanes and shoulder will be closed, from the Acton Rd. Interchange (exit 17) to the I-65 Overpass (Exit 15) in Hoover, for concrete pavement repairs. Interstate 65 southbound inside (left) two lanes and shoulder will be closed, from the Lakeshore Dr. Interchange (Exit 255) to the Alford Ave. Interchange (exit 254) in Hoover, for concrete pavement repairs.
The I-459 southbound ramps (exit 15), leading to I-65 northbound/southbound will remain open, but will be transitioned around the lane closure with Traffic Channelizing Devices.
The I-65 southbound ramps for both exit 255 and exit 254 should not be effected.
