From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
MONTGOMERY –Chief Justice Roy Moore could once again be removed from the bench after the Alabama Judicial Inquiry Commission filed judicial six ethics charges against him.
In 2003, Moore was removed from the office of Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court for refusing to follow a lawful court order to remove a Ten Commandments monument he had placed in the state judicial building.
Now, Moore will face judicial ethics charges for telling state judges not to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples in defiance of a federal court order that declared the state’s ban on same-sex marriage to be unconstitutional.
Moore will now face a trial trial in the Alabama Court of the Judiciary on six charges.
It is possible that Moore could face suspension pending the hearing. Moore could reach a settlement regarding the charges. If found guilty, he could face a range of penalties including being removed from the office of Chief Justice.
After being removed from office in 2003, Moore won election to the same post in 2012. In the interim, Moore ran for governor, losing to Bob Riley.

And apparently, we’ll just re-elect him again.

Hope so. Glad someone still has some morals about life

Yay, maybe second times the charm!

Unfortunately, forcing others to follow your beliefs and breaking the law to do so isn’t exactly moral. Don’t get me wrong, I am a Christian, but if an elected official used state funds to put up a statue of Buddha there would be an uproar.
The role of our government is to ensure equal rights for everyone in our country. If you want the government involved in marriage (by providing marriage “licenses”), then by necessity, they must provide the same to ALL consenting adults, regardless of orientation. If you beleive in the sanctity of marriage, the government shouldn’t be providing ANY marriage licenses.
God gave us all free will, why do we think the US government should override that?

He’s been indicted and convict charges for failing to remove a plank of the 10 commandments Alabama voting him back into office after he got out of jail,

When you become a elected official the law is what you follow not your personal beliefs all these people that keeps voting him in are the problem he is all great and dandy until he don’t agree with your opinion Roy Moore is a disgrace
Norma Basner
I disagree! Judge Roy Moore only stands for what our country was built on! If we turn our backs on what our forefathers built or country on we defeat our Freedoms! It is no wonder our country is in the shape it’s in. If he is being re-elected then he is what We The People want. What part of that do you not understand. You keep taking God out of everything & that’s why we have so much violence! Just because the Federal govt passes laws Don’t Make It Right”!!!

Ok, here’s a real life example for you. The Chief Justice of Utah’s Supreme Court is a Mormon. Should he be allowed to put up a monument to the Book of Mormon? Should Mormon teachers lead prayers in public schools?
Jeremy Purvis
bye bye Moore about time

Ms Basner..Google “cognitive disonance”.

He’s no better than a common criminal. He thinks he has the right to make his own rules.
Charles Moore
He thinks he is above the law and deserves to be removed from office and never be elected to anything. Another embarrassment for the State of Alabama
Might be a good idea for him to deal with his son first

Just so you know the majority of the forefathers that come to your mind when you think about them, were deist. Not Christian.

Roy Moore is acting on the beliefs of our four father’s. Many of you are PC cowards that are helping to run this country into the ground. Take your ass to a liberal state
