CLAY — A Go Fund Me account has been established to help with the expenses of the Holden family after Nyre Holden, a football player at Clay-Chalkville, who suffered a stroke on June 1.
His mother, Naddia, posted this on the account: “To everyone it’s hard I love my kids they are my life line !!!!!!! NYRE has suffered with a stroke. A healthy kid!! But everyone knows my son drive. Football is his life….”
Nyre, who transferred from Huffman where he played quarterback, is a rising junior running back-wide receiver.
His aunt posted on his Facebook page Tuesday that he has recovered from double vision and is managing to walk better with a walker and getting feeling back in his face.
As of Tuesday afternoon, $1,450 had been raised on the account of the $1,000 goal.
