From the Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — Today, Monday, April 2, the City of Trussville opened its doors to residents of Trussville to purchase and renew car tags at city hall.
This new service came initially after a law passed by the State Legislature in April 2014 allowing cities in Jefferson County to issue motor vehicle registrations including issuing license plates.

Those seeking driver’s licenses and out-of-state tag transfers will still need to visit the county courthouse.
The council recently approved a contract with Ingenuity, Inc. to help the city establish a web-based program to handle the renewals process.
