BIRMINGHAM — The victim of a tragic three-vehicle traffic accident that occurred on Tuesday afternoon has been identified as a 23-year-old man from Birmingham. The accident occurred at around 4:15 p.m on Tuesday and resulted in four others being injured.
Sylvester Boykin Rose, Jr. was identified by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office. He was a passenger a car that was hit in the rear by another car, which caused it to hit the rear of a car in front. Birmingham Police and firefighters responded to the scene at West Oxmoor Road where Rose was extracted from the damaged vehicle.
Rose was taken to UAB Hospital but was pronounced dead at 5:11 p.m.
Birmingham Police continue to investigate the incident.
