BIRMINGHAM — The car belonging to two senior adults that were found killed in Birmingham has been recovered by police in Miami, Florida.

On Thursday, Aug. 2, the Birmingham Police were called to the 8700 block of 9th Court Circle South in Birmingham where they found a small child wandering in the street with blood-stained clothes. The child led them to the scene were two adults seniors were found and later identified as Joe Holt, 68, and Mary Holt, 67.
Recently, investigators from the Birmingham Police Department learned that the Miami Beach Police Department found the gray 2012 Honda Civic belonging to the victims. The BPD reports that a subject was found inside the car who had been arrested by MBPD officers for an unrelated outstanding warrant.
No warrants have been obtained as it is not known if the subject was involved in the murders. BPD officers are currently in Miami to investigate the recent development.
