JEFFERSON COUNTY – Weather permitting, Friday at 8 a.m., the Alabama Department of Transportation will begin an Asphalt Paving project for the widening of State Route 150 (John Hawkins Pkwy) between Shades Crest Road and Lake Cyrus Blvd. in Jefferson County.
This work will also affect the SR-150 side streets including Whisperwood Drive, Old Section Road, Ross Bridge Pkwy, Edna Road, and Lake Cyrus Blvd.
Traffic interruptions will typically occur from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. daily and is expected to be completed by Wednesday.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Maintenance Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
