TUSCALOOSA — A 16-year-old has been charged in a shooting incident that took place in the parking lot of a Tuscaloosa grocery store, according the WBRC.
Police were dispatched to Bear Creek Road at approximately 3:05 p.m. in response to a report of shooting in the Vowels parking lot.
A 22-year-old male was shot in the leg but the injury has not been reported to be life threatening, according to WBRC.
WBRC has reported that, according to police, it appears the victim was attempting to purchase a firearm from three juveniles. An altercation began and ended with the shooting. One juvenile has been charged as an adult with first-degree robbery while the second juvenile, a 16-year-old, is in juvenile detention and the third was released without charges being made.
