CORNER — Springville varsity softball shut out Corner 3-0 thanks to the pitching of Abby Swaney and a top notch offense and defense.
A bright spot for Corner came early in the game when Jane Goodwin singled at the bottom of the first.
The Tigers hit the ball well tallying six for the game with Swaney and McKenzie brown giving multiple hits to the Springville effort.
Swaney took the win for Springville. She gave up two hits and zero runs while striking out seven and walking one. She was on the mound for five innings.
Hill had the loss for Corner. She gave up three runs on six hits. Hill struck out five and walked one. She pitched for five innings.
Corner had zero errors for the game.
Springville had one error for the game.
