MARGARET — A man who worked at North Valley Early Learning Center, in Margaret, was indicted on charges of sex abuse of a child, according to St. Clair County Sheriff Bill Murray.
Austin Greenway, 19, of Odenville, is charged with sexual abuse of a child less than 12 and school employee having sexual contact. The incident was reported in June 2019, after a summer program at the North Valley Early Learning Center and after school program. Margaret PD asked the sheriff’s office to look into allegations of sexual abuse of a 9-year-old child. According to the sheriff’s office, Greenway had been employed at the church for two years, as a teacher.
A St. Clair County grand jury indicted Greenway after information from an extensive investigation was presented by the sheriff’s office.
