From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
BIRMINGHAM — Dozens of people showed up in their vehicles Thursday night, to gather in prayer for the patients and staff at St. Vincent’s East.
The drivers turned on their emergency lights as they prayed with Faith Community Fellowship Executive Pastor Mike Ennis. As a strong show of support for medical staff, drivers honked their horns during the shift change at the hospital. Some people even stood up through their sunroof to wave at the men and women coming and going to work.
Participants were asked to stay inside their cars and to follow the recommendation to stay 6-feet from one another.
The prayer began at 7:14 p.m. in honor of 2 Chronicles 7:14:
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
