BESSEMER — The Bessemer Amazon fulfillment center still has job openings following the facility commencing operations on March 29.
The 855,000 square-foot fulfillment center, which employs more than 1,500 full-time employees, is still hiring, Amazon announced. No resume or previous work experience is needed.
“The perks of being an Amazon employee don’t stop at collaborating with great people on exciting and innovative projects,” Amazon posted on its website. “We also offer a full range of benefits that support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and their children. These benefits include healthcare coverage, ways to save for the future, and other resources to improve your well-being.”
Amazon said that 75,000 full-time and part-time jobs need to be filled. This follows the news that the online retail giant added 100,000 workers this past month to assist with online deliveries across the U.S.
Employees can earn up to $18 and hour, with $2 added upon the starting hourly wage throughout April. Applicants who get selected can start as soon as within a week of filling out an application.
