BIRMINGHAM — Two individuals were apprehended on Wednesday, April 22, following the home invasion of an 85-year-old woman in north Jefferson County.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office announced that the department arrested Brandon Gourley, 24, and Shelby Robinson, 20, early Wednesday morning. Their arrests stem from a home invasion in the 1200 block of Sardis Road in Gardendale.
Authorities arrived at the scene and were able to locate Gourley hiding in the woods near the victim’s home. Deputies also arrested Robinson after she was witnessed driving a pickup truck back and forth near the victim’s residence. It was discovered that she was the getaway driver.
Gourley is charged with first-degree burglary. He has a $10,000 bond. Robinson is charged with second-degree burglary. She has a $5,000 bond. Both are being held at the Jefferson County Jail.
