MOODY — More than 500 boxes of food, produce and milk were distributed to St. Clair families impacted by the coronavirus pandemic on Wednesday during an event held at the Moody Civic Center.
The city of Moody, Shepherd Supply Mission and Feeding America came together and helped distribute more than 500 boxes of food, 1,000 gallons of milk and produce. The event was a tremendous success, drawing a number of families throughout St. Clair County.
“What an amazing day,” the city of Moody posted on Facebook. “… Words can’t express our gratitude to the people who made this happen for our community. For those affected by the pandemic, this will make a difference.”
The event began at 10 a.m. However, cars began lining up well before the opening.
“Thank you to all those who gave their time and service today to make this happen,” the city of Moody posted. We live in a city of heroes.”
