PINSON — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Tarrant woman after deputies said they found her in possession of large amounts of heroin and methamphetamine.
Andrea Dawn Johnson, 30, is charged with drug trafficking and carrying a pistol without a license.
Sgt. Joni Money said Johnson was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020, on Sweeney Hollow Road, in Pinson. Deputies seized 820 grams of methamphetamine and 30 grams of heroin.
“During the arrest, Johnson was also found to be in possession of a firearm and over $2,900 in currency,” Money said.
Johnson was booked into the Jefferson County Jail on bonds totaling $1,005,000.
According to court documents, Johnson has a history of criminal charges in Jefferson County. In 2019, Johnson was charged with burglary third degree, trafficking stolen identities and possession of a forged instrument.
In 2018, Johnson was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, obstruction of justice and tampering with physical evidence.
Those cases were waived to a grand jury.
Johnson is considered innocent of all charges until proven guilty.
