Phyllis Ball Edwards, 80, went to be her Lord Sept. 12, 2020 at her home with her three girls. She was a resident of Vestavia Hills, AL for 43 years.
She was a graduate of Hewitt-Trussville High School class of ’58. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist church after serving with her husband at Shades Mountain Baptist for 24 years. She was a member at Garlandia Garden Club and served as an officer.
She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, counselor, gardener, encourager, artist, and storyteller. She had a love story like no other. However, her most cherished title was “daughter of the King.”
You could see the love of Jesus in every aspect of her life. She poured her life into people young and old.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jesse Lloyd Ball, Martha Nadine Ball, and by her loving husband of 51 years Aubrey Edwards. She is survived by her three daughters Leisha Bell (Jim), Kim Meadows (Mark), Sondra Fernandez (Louis), five grandchildren who called her “Mimi” Cliff, Courtney, Luke, Kayla, Ethan, six great children, Liam, Titan, Mason, Ryker, James, and Riley.
Per Phyllis’ request there will no visitation. Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday Sept. 16, 2020 at Jefferson Memorial, at 2 PM 1591 Gadsden Hwy, US 11 Birmingham, Alabama 35235. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to American Cancer Society.
