BIRMINGHAM — The Jefferson County Coroner/Medical Examiner’s Office identified a man killed in a crash on Friday, Nov. 13, 2020.
Christopher Chase Hughes, 29, of Birmingham, was the driver of a silver Dodge Durango that struck a Chevy pickup truck and a utility pole. The crash happened at the intersection of 5th Avenue South at 14th Street South.
The wreck happened around 4 p.m. and Hughes was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Birmingham Police Department is investigating.
