BIRMINGHAM — Birmingham police are investigating a homicide after a reported assault on Friday night.
The incident, which took place around 10:30 p.m. in the 200 block of 4th Court West in Birmingham, resulted in the shooting death of 24-year-old Tyrus Rashad Williams.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, the Pelham man sustained gunshot wound injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:57 p.m. last Friday.
The Birmingham Police Department is investigating the case as a homicide. No further information is available at this time.
