JEFFERSON COUNTY — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting in the western part of the county.
Someone reported a person shot in the 7000 block of Dolly Drive, around 1:15 p.m., on Saturday, March 6, 2021.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they learned that two male family members had gotten into an argument over money. The dispute turned physical and investigators said one of the subjects pulled out a gun and shot the other subject.
The person was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.
Detectives with the sheriff’s office plan to present evidence to the District Attorney’s Office to determine if charges will be filed.
