LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala. — Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are investigating a double fatal crash in Lawrence County.
Two teens, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old were killed around 12:30 p.m. on June 8, 2021.
The 17-year-old driver of a 2013 Ford Mustang was traveling north on Alabama 33 near Lawrence County 249, left the roadway in a curve and struck a tree. Both he and his 16-year-old passenger were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The names of the teens have not been released but Troopers said they are from Courtland.
