CLEBURNE COUNTY — A single-vehicle wreck has claimed the life of a 17-year-old in Cleburne County.
Authorities say the accident happened at approximately 12:10 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 78, 10 miles east of Heflin.
According to a report from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the Fruithurst teen was fatally injured when the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released.
