TRUSSVILLE — A local teen will attend the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS) Youth Legislative Training Conference this summer, in Washington, D.C.
Landen Williams, the son of Greg and Jill Williams, of Trussville, is a student at Mountain View Baptist School. He was chosen to attend the conference in order to experience the workings of the political system in America.
The conference will be held July 5 – 9.
There will be a series of lectures on political theory and philosophy and students will be able to participate in a mock Senate session and meet with Senators and Representatives. They will also tour historical sites, including the U.S. Capitol, the Monuments, and Arlington Cemetery.
