LEEDS — The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will close lanes on Interstate 20 during the week of June 14.
From Monday, June 14, to Saturday, June 19, the right lanes of I-20 westbound and eastbound will be closed for clearing work. The closure will be between just east of the Brompton exit (Milepost 148) and the Leeds exit (Milepost 140). Closures will take place from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. each day.
From Sunday, June 13, to Saturday, June 19, ALDOT will close lanes of I-20 eastbound and westbound overnight, for paving work. The closures will begin at 7 p.m. each evening and lanes should be reopened by 6 a.m. each morning. The paving will be done between just east of the Brompton exit (Milepost 148) and the Leeds exit (Milepost 140).
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this construction operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
