TRUSSVILLE – The Trussville Rotary Daybreak Club inducted its officers, board members, and committee chairs for the 2021-22 year at its weekly meeting on June 20 at a special meeting at First Baptist Church Trussville.
Around the world, over 35,000 Rotary Clubs are welcoming new officers and board this week.
Serving as Club President is Greg Carroll of Carroll Pharmacy. Jamie Townes of EIB Systems is President-elect; Ty Williams of Restoration Academy is Past President; Secretary is John Griscom (retired); Treasurer is Jeremy Tuggle of Bryant Bank; and Sergeant-at-Arms is Alan Taylor of First Baptist Church Trussville.
Directors for the coming year are: Jef Freeman (Wells Fargo), John Patterson (retired), Mary Jean Sanspree (retired), Ken Vaughan (Jefferson County Housing Authority), and Martin Woosley (Woosley Law Firm).
Committee chairs named for the coming year are: Fundraising and Social Events – Jamie Townes; Membership – Renee’ LeCroy (Atlanta Flooring) and Lynn Taul (EIB Systems) (co-chairs); Community Service – Linda Burns (Keller Williams Realty); International Service – Van Horne (retired); Rotary Foundation – Martin Woosley; Student and Youth Services – Jase Buttram (Hinkle Roofing); Programs – Sandra Vernon (Trussville City Schools); and Public Image – Diane Poole (retired).
In addition, the Club recognized former assistant district governors Danny Cooner (Safety First), Pat McTamney, Martin Woosley, Van Horne, John Griscom, and Mary Jean Sanspree (who has also served as a district governor).
Rotary International (RI) is a global network of 1.2 million people in over 200 countries who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change around the world. RI was established more than 110 years ago. The Trussville club of approximately 45 members provides service to others through fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
